Md Towsif-ur-Rahman,JnU Correspondent: JnU authority have decided to give CoronaVirus vaccine in the medical center of Jagannath University from 21st October 2021.
Vaccine booth is been preparing to be installed in the medical center of JnU and therefore vaccination may began from 21st October.
The Inauguration of the vaccination will be started from the Varsity Day of JnU (21 Oct).
Based on the registration done by students of JnU, the Medical Team of Dhaka Civil Sergeon visited the Modern Medical Center of JnU on the purpose of installing Vaccine Booth there. After their visit they assured that the inauguration of COVID vaccination can be done from the 21 instant on the occasion of University Day of Jagannath University.
In this regard when JnURU representatives asked Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mita Shabnam, She assured that Vaccination will be started from 21st and at first only 100-120 students will be vaccinated who hasn’t registered yet.
Regarding vaccination, Director of Student Welfare, Prof. Dr. Md. Ainul Islam said, “We will open vaccination booths from the 21st and our target is to cover 100 to 120 students.” For this we are taking a list of 5 students from each department who have national identity card but have not registered yet. Students will be able to register and receive the vaccine on the day they receive the vaccine. A medical team from the Civil Surgeon of Dhaka will come to manage the vaccination activities properly. Students will be able to get “Sinopharm vaccine” from the vaccination booth and we will bring this sinopharm vaccine from Mohakhali Health Department. We will inaugurate on the 21st and then from the 25th we will fully launch this vaccination program.
University students says that the step of setting up Vaccination Booth is quite impressive and admirable. Besides the on-spot registration facility will be very beneficial for students. We all appreciate such an Initiative
