Md Towsif-ur-Rahman, JnU Correspondent: The classes of newly admitted first year students of JnU to be started from the 8th march.

The decision was taken at a discussion meeting of the Deans of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Law of the University on Feb 26 (Sunday).

Prof. Dr. Sarkar Ali Akkas, Dean, Faculty of Law, University, confirmed the information to the reporters.

Prof. Dr. Sarkar Ali Akkas said that the academic activities of the students for the new academic year of the university will officially start from March 8.

He added that there are still many vacancies in different departments of the university. Many students are canceling admissions to other universities. We will complete the admission process before March 8.

In this regard, the Registrar of the University, Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman said that the notice of commencement of class activities for the session 2020-2021 has not been published on the website of the university yet, but the physical activities will start from March 8.

We will publish the notice on the university website by tomorrow.

It is to be noted that the admission process is underway to fill the existing vacancies in various departments from the 9th merit list in A, B and C units in the first year of graduation (honors) and BBA in the academic year 2020-2021 of Jagannath University.
