Md Towsif-ur-Rahman, JnU Correspondent  : The annual general meeting of the research-based organization Youth Society for Research and Action (YSRA) was held on Saturday, January 8th in the seminar room of the institute. The motto of YSRA is “RESEARCH AND REFORM.” The main objective is to inspire the youth in the field of Research.

On 14th November, 2021, YSRA got official approval from RJSC as a non-profit organization under the Society Registration Act, 1860. Encouraged by the spirit of patriotism, the organization has been working for research, higher education and skill development among the students of this country since 2018.  Activities of YSRA have been conducted online even during the Corona epidemic.

The annual general meeting was divided into two sessions. The 1st session was a meeting of the Board of Governance (BoG). Honourable Chairman of BoG Prof. Dr. Abdus Samad presided over the program. Among the other members of the Board of Governance were Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Mahfuz, Md. Ibrahim Mia, President of YSRA Md. Fazle Rabbi and Maksudul Haque Khan.

The Honourable Chairman of Board of Governance, Prof. Dr. Abdus Samad said, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the individuals from home and abroad who have helped us in various ways. We have already planned to work on a larger scale across the country. I wish all of your cooperation and participation in the upcoming initiatives of YSRA for the development of the country and the nation.”

The meeting reviewed the overall activities of the past year and determined the work plan for the current year. The 2nd session was for all concerned including general and premium members. It was attended by young researchers from different universities of the country. Finally, the conclusion was announced through a cultural program. The Mentors of YSRA delivered their valuable speech there.
