Book Launching Ceremony of “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh”

Nextnews Report, Dhaka : North South University, the First private university of Bangladesh celebrates the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu by publishing a book on the life and achievements of the Father of the Nation titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh”.

The Book launching ceremony was held on 24th June at the Syndicate Hall of North South University, with the Honorable Education Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Dr. Dipu Moni as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Sharifuddin Ahmed, the Editor of Book reminded the audience that without Bangabandhu there would have been no Bangladesh.

It is Bangabandhu who went through unbelievable personal sacrifices and sufferings eventually creating the great Bangladesh Movement which finally culminated in the creation of Bangladesh. Bangabandhu’s life’s story is therefore a must reading for every citizen of Bangladesh.

Dr. Dipu Moni observed that this new book published jointly by North South University and the University Press Limited will be concerned as one of the important additions to the growing literature of Bangabandhu studies. She reminded the audience that there are many aspects of Bangabandhu which are still not known and those which are known demand more careful studies and learning.

She hoped this new book would inspire the young generation to follow the path of Bangabandhu. In the event the Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NSU, Mr M A Kashem and Honorable Vice Chancellor of NSU Professor Atiqul Islam also addressed the audience and reminded them of knowing more about Bangabandhu in his struggle for improving and developing the Bengali people. The event successfully arranged a Facebook live broadcast of the launching ceremony of Anthology titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh”, Edited by Dr. Sharif uddin Ahmed.
