Next news Report,Dhaka :  Bangladesh’s Rotary Dhaka Club of Rising Stars and Italy’s Rotary Club Padova Nord meet to discuss how to combat climate change and to improve the welfare of Bangladeshis working in Italy.**

In a friendly meeting held recently (09 Nov, 2023), the representative of Bangladesh Rotary Dhaka Club of Rising Stars, Probha Aurora Founder and Managing Director and Bangladesh National Operator of the world’s largest environmental education organization, FEE Rotarian Bidhan Chandra Pal and current President Alessandro Paccagnella of Rotary Club Padova Nord met at historic Caffe Pedrocchi in Padua downtown. Bidhan Chandra Pal highlighted the multi-faceted activities of Probha Aurora in Bangladesh to deal with climate change and protect the environment. At this time, he emphasized the signature project, the Climate Hero Rotaract program of ‘Probha Aurora’ and ‘Rotary Dhaka Club of Rising Stars’. Alessandro Paccagnella mentioned the possibility of Rotary Global Grants and said that there is an open opportunity for the two clubs to work together in this regard. He expressed his hope to identity fields and tools that may permit to work together in the future. Bidhan Chandra Pal also highlighted his experience during his stay in Venice, Italy. He said that Bangladeshis are making a special contribution to enriching various industries, including shoes, restaurants and other factories. However, Bangladeshis are facing many challenges to improve their status and position. He commented that various service projects can be conducted in all those places. He said that to make good use of the leisure time of Bengalis, various sports opportunities and environments can be provided, and arrangements can be made to create free separate rooms and suitable environments in the municipality for conducting various social development, health protection, social awareness and educational activities regularly. At that time, Bidhan Chandra Pal introduced Md. Mohiuddin Mohi, the president of the Projonmo organization of the city of Padova, to Alessandro Paccagnella. Alessandro Paccagnella stated that, as soon as proper documents will be supplied, he will forward them to the Service committee of the Club in order to be considered as possible service projects. They also commented that friendly relations between the two countries may become closer through this activity. It is noted that after the discussion, the President of Rotary Club Padova Nord handed over the artistic pennant of the club’s celebrating its recent 50th anniversary to Bidhan Chandra Pal as a souvenir and honor. Bidhan Chandra Pal also gave him an eco-friendly bag and two books written by himself as a gift from Bangladesh.
