Next news Report,Dhaka:  A courtesy meeting was held on 22nd Nov, 2023 at 6 P.M in Oslo between Rotarian Bidhan Chandra Pal-the representative of Bangladesh Rotary Dhaka Club of Rising Stars, the Founder and Managing Director of Probha Aurora and Bangladesh National Operator of the world’s largest environmental education organization, FEE, with Ms. Kristin Mourud- the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Oslo, the oldest and largest Rotary Club of Oslo.

A detailed discussion was held about the kind of activities the two clubs are currently conducting in their respective countries.
The two clubs, along with social enterprise Probha Aurora, are expected to jointly work in the coming days on several issues-particularly on climate change and environmental protection.

It would be interesting for the two clubs to work together, Ms. Kristin Mourud mentioned that she will inform the Rotary president and her board about all discussions held between them. Likewise, Bidhan Chandra Pal will inform his club president and board. Then, necessary action will be taken as per the decision of the board meeting. A virtual meeting between the two clubs may also be arranged later in this regard.

The important discussions that took place were as follows:
• To jointly play a role in the implementation of the signature project Climate Hero Rotaract Project of Rotary Dhaka Club of Rising Stars. In that case, opportunities for the participation of the youth of the two countries and the exchange of experiences can be created;
• Organizing webinars on best practices from the activities being conducted in Bangladesh and Asia on climate change and environment protection. Bidhan Chandra Pal will highlight his long experience of almost 30 years from a holistic approach;
• To provide necessary cooperation and strategic support in building a multicultural cultural center for citizens of different countries who later become Norwegian citizens in Norway; Bidhan Chandra Pal also introduced Nirmal Krishna Brahmachari, one of the visionaries and entrepreneurs of this initiative;
• Various excellent initiatives have been taken in Oslo by organizations that integrate and adapt technology to combat climate change and protect the environment. To play a role in creating learning and awareness opportunities for Probha Aurora to gain a better understanding of them. So that Probha Aurora can play a role in replicating those initiatives in Bangladesh;
Ms. Kristin Mourud, the Secretary, asked Bidhan Chandra Pal to inform her in advance if he came to Oslo again. So that they can show him due respect by inviting him to the Rotary meeting. At the same time, Bidhan Chandra Pal also showed his gratitude to Ms. Kristin Mourud and invited her to visit the activities of Rotary Clubs and Probha Aurora in Bangladesh.
