Md Towsif-ur-Rahman, JnU Correspondent:On 19th July 2023, a seminar titled “First-principles Approach to Develop High Energy Cathode Materials for Li-ion Battery” was held. The speaker of the seminar was Dr. ARINDAM SANNYAL, a alumni student of Chemistry Department of JnU. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. AKM Lutfor Rahman, Chairman of Chemistry department JnU and hosted by Prof. Dr. Md. Aminul Haque.

The opening speech was presented by Prof. Dr. AKM Lutfor Rahman, Chairman of Chemistry department JnU. There he stated, “We want to arrange more such seminars in order to encourage more students towards research field. We would encourage many more students to be interested in research field”

In the seminar, Dr. ARINDAM SANNYAL mentioned and summarized his PhD work. He also shared his experience of going to PhD in Korea. He said, ” I would like more students to be interested in research field of Chemistry. i have worked in a pharmaceutical before going for PhD. ” He gave some valuable advice to the Juniors of the department.

Almost all the teacher of the  department of Chemistry including Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Lutfor Rahman and Prof. Dr. Md. Aminul Haque were present in the seminar. Students from different batches were also present in the seminar
