Md Towsif-ur-Rahma,, JnU Correspondent:  An 7-member preliminary committee has been announced for the Jagannath University branch of the Bangladesh Science Fiction Society for one year.

The New elected President is Jubayer Hossain Rahat (Department of Geography) and Environment and  Vice-President Md. Helal Uddin (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and Raihan Riaz (Department of Geography and Environment).

Rafiya Rahman (Department of Islamic Studies) is the General Secretary, Meherabul Islam Showdip(Department of Statistics) is the Joint General Secretary, Md. Ebrahim Sheikh (Marketing Department) is the Treasurer and Tamim Mahmud (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) is the Secretary of Science and Literature.

Bangladesh Science Fiction Society is a science based creative organization. The main purpose of this organization is to encourage the practice of science, to help spread science education and to play an effective role in the spread of science entertainment. Bangladesh Science Fiction Society (BSFS) has government approval (Approval No. 1284/2018 under Section 21 of the Society Act, 1860).

The Jagannath University branch of the Bangladesh Science Fiction Society is moving forward with the slogan “Today’s Imagination is the Science of the future.
